Clawback

Find what every refund and return really cost you, with proof.

From $29 a month, with a 30 day free trial.

Clawback: What returns cost you, beyond the refund

What it does

Clawback shows what your refunds and returns really cost you.

It follows every order from payment to payout and flags where money leaked: returns that never went back on the shelf, payment fees you did not get back, missed restocking fees, refunds with no return, and payouts that do not match.

Clawback: One issue with its evidence

Traced end to end

Every refund and return, from the order to payment, stock and payout.

Stock that never came back

Returns that were never restocked, and payouts that do not add up.

Labelled by certainty

Each figure is Confirmed, Estimated or Potential, with its evidence.

Fees you missed

Restocking fees never charged, and refunds that came with no return.

Read only. Clawback never changes your store or contacts your customers.

Questions

The ones merchants ask before installing Clawback.

Ask something else

Why is the free trial 30 days?

The first audit reads your recent orders on day one, so you see what past refunds and returns cost straight away. Thirty days lets you watch new ones go through their whole cycle (refund, return, restock, payout) and see what Clawback catches as it happens.

What does Clawback read from my store?

Orders, refunds, returns, inventory levels and costs, products, locations, and Shopify Payments payouts. It never requests customer data: no names, emails, phone numbers or addresses.

Does it change anything in my store or contact my customers?

No. Clawback is read-only. Its connection to Shopify refuses anything that would change your store, and it never sends anything to your customers.

What do Confirmed, Estimated and Potential mean?

Confirmed comes straight from Shopify records. Estimated is calculated from a stated assumption, such as your typical return label cost, and says which one. Potential is money you may be able to get back. When a cost cannot be known, Clawback says Unknown rather than guessing.

How far back does the first audit look?

You choose during setup. Shopify lets apps read the last 60 days of orders, and older orders only once it approves full history access; setup tells you if your audit was limited.

Do I need Shopify Payments?

Only for the payout checks, because payouts and their transactions come from Shopify Payments. Everything else works with any payment provider.

What happens when I uninstall?

Your access token is deleted at once. Everything else is deleted 48 hours later, when Shopify sends its data removal request, so reinstalling the same day keeps your history.
